An ambitious idea for an exciting project.
Orbea’s new XC World Cup line up was meant to be a solid step forward for the team. Therefore, the goal of this video was to represent the beginning of the new era and a quality step forward from the previous years.

We decided to develop a very simple and minimalistic concept, yet very powerful and meaningful. The new chapter would start from a blank page, in this case an immense and mysterious black environment, where the light would be one in charge to reveal the faces of the new riders and their bike.
Finally, we decided to blend it all together with a series of classical music compositions that would enhance the aestheticism as well as shock and surprise the viewer. Also, being this the first part of the launch campaign, we didn’t want to show the team colors yet, sticking to a expressive and dramatic high contrast black and white.
The structures, created in Autodesk Maya, rendered with Arnold Renderer and composed with NukeX,
helped us to achieve the solemn look and the sense of immensity that we were looking for.
